PEPL, Inc. has been engaged to place a Director of IT Projects and Operations to lead our client’s technology initiatives in US subsidiaries, focused on system standardization, supplier contract optimization, cybersecurity, and infrastructure excellence. This position will work with various business stakeholders as well as IT counterparts at the corporate level to operate, maintain and improve IT infrastructure, application support, 3rd party managed services, networks, cybersecurity, and telephony services.

The Director of IT will report directly to the corporate CIO. This role will be onsite daily in Kennesaw, GA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the technical elements of the harmonization of our application systems and interfaces across business units in the US to ensure consistency, scalability, and interoperability. Specifically, this involves working with Service Titan, the IT primary system provider in the US to port custom functionality developed for Georgia business unit across all other business units in the US.
  • Interact with stakeholders in all areas of the business on this harmonization standardization project, ensuring that business changes are done in lockstep with technical changes.
  • Evaluate and renegotiate vendor contracts to maximize value and minimize cost.
  • Establish performance metrics and governance frameworks for supplier relationships.
Cybersecurity
  • Implement and enforce robust cybersecurity policies and protocols, taking guidance from corporate policies and standards.
  • Monitor threat landscapes and ensure proactive risk mitigation strategies are in place.
  • Educate users on the importance of maintaining security awareness and how to identify risks.
Cost Savings & Efficiency Initiatives
  • Identify opportunities for IT-related cost reductions without compromising quality or performance.
  • Implement process improvements and automation to enhance operational efficiency.
End-User Support & Experience
  • Ensure high-quality IT support services for internal users, including help desk operations and training, working with external providers.
  • Foster a culture of responsiveness and continuous improvement in user satisfaction.
Infrastructure Management
  • Maintain and upgrade core IT infrastructure including networks, cell phones, servers, and cloud environments where applicable.
  • Ensure system reliability, uptime, and scalability to support business growth.
Required

Skills & Qualifications
  • College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information systems or similar
  • 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including 3+ years in a director-level role
  • Proven track record in project planning and execution across complex business environments, including running cross functional technical programs involving multiple stakeholders and varying business practices
  • Experience with enterprise systems (Service Titan being a significant asset)
  • Strong background in the service industry; knowledgeable with resource optimization, call center operations and field service operations.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement in gaining alignment and collaboration to drive decisions to mitigate risks and change
  • Familiarity with hybrid/multi-cloud strategies, and with SaaS models
  • Ability to understand detail in order to manage service providers to manage the day-to-day IT activities of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to improve overall service levels and manage a supporting scorecard with key metrics to measure our service offerings, including KPI development and creating dashboards that align IT performance with business outcomes.
  • Financial literacy: budgeting, cost tracking and optimization, ROI analysis
  • Experience with Network technologies
  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, SOC2, vendor management, and infrastructure operations
  • IT-business alignment:
    Ability to translate business goals into IT strategy and vice versa.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
  • High sense of urgency
  • Keen (internal) customer focus.
