Network Engineer, Cybersecurity
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Network Administrator with a minimum of 5 years of experience supporting enterprise networks in a 3rd‑party logistics (3PL) or high‑availability operational environment. This role is critical to ensuring reliable, secure, and high‑performance network connectivity across warehouses, distribution centers, and corporate offices that operate in a 24/7 logistics setting. This position is an in‑person full‑time position at our corporate office in Kennesaw GA.
Must be willing to travel to all Atlanta Campus sites with some travel out of state.
- Design, implement, and support LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and SD‑WAN infrastructure across warehouses, distribution centers, and corporate offices
- Ensure high availability and performance for mission‑critical logistics systems including WMS, TMS, ERP, RF scanners, conveyors, and automation systems
- Manage and optimize warehouse wireless networks (high‑density Wi‑Fi for RF handhelds, tablets, and IoT devices)
- Monitor network health and proactively resolve latency, packet loss, and connectivity issues impacting operations
- Configure and maintain routing, switching, VLANs, QoS, and IP addressing schemes
- Implement and maintain network security controls including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and segmentation for customer and operational networks
- Support integrations with customers, carriers, and 3PL partners via secure network connections
- Perform network upgrades, expansions, and site deployments for new warehouses or customer onboarding
- Provide on‑call or after‑hours support to meet 24/7 operational requirements
- Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures
- Collaborate with IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, automation, and operations teams
- Work with vendors, ISPs, and managed service providers to resolve issues and optimize services
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Network Administrator or Network Engineer
- Proven experience supporting warehouse, logistics, or distribution center networks
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols, switching, VLANs, and QoS
- Hands‑on experience with enterprise networking equipment
- Experience managing large‑scale wireless networks in warehouse environments
- Strong troubleshooting skills in time‑critical, operationally sensitive environments
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities
- Network certifications (Network+, CWNA/CWSP, Cloud/hybrid or equivalent)
- Experience with SD‑WAN and multi‑site connectivity
- Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Familiarity with logistics systems (WMS, TMS, ERP) and RF/barcode scanning infrastructure
- Experience with IoT network connectivity
- Scripting or automation experience (Power Shell, Python, Bash)
- Strong communication skills with both technical teams and warehouse operations
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced, 24/7 environment
