This position provides leadership and execution for the people side of technology change, ensuring successful adoption of enterprise IT initiatives. The role translates IT change frameworks into actionable strategies aligned with university culture, IT leadership direction, and institutional priorities while guiding stakeholder engagement, communications, and training. The position partners closely with project managers, technical teams, and business leaders to embed organizational change management throughout the IT project lifecycle.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement IT organizational change management plans aligned with institutional priorities and established change frameworks.
- Integrate change management activities into IT project life cycles, including system implementations, upgrades, and service launches.
- Conduct stakeholder analyses, impact assessments, and readiness evaluations to inform targeted adoption strategies.
- Lead and guide cross‑functional teams in executing change initiatives, ensuring alignment with University goals.
- Develop and execute communication plans supporting project milestones, user adoption, and cultural alignment.
- Design and coordinate training plans, workshops, and knowledge transfer activities to promote user competency.
- Track adoption metrics, engagement data, and feedback to evaluate effectiveness and support continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with IT communications and change analysts to ensure consistency in messaging, tools, branding, and templates.
- Identify opportunities to improve change processes, methodologies, and tools based on lessons learned and feedback.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education, preferably in Business Administration, Organizational Development, Communications, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
Required ExperienceFive (5) years of experience in organizational change management and/or project management supporting complex, enterprise‑level technology initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications AdditionalPreferred Qualifications
Relevant certifications such as Prosci, ACMP, CCMP, PMP, Agile, or ITIL aligned with organizational change and project delivery best practices.
Preferred Educational QualificationsAn undergraduate or advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field.
Preferred Experience- Experience supporting technology change initiatives within higher education or public sector environments.
- Demonstrated experience leading stakeholder engagement, readiness assessments, and adoption strategies for enterprise IT projects.
- Experience developing communications, training, and enablement strategies for large‑scale technology implementations.
- Knowledge, skills, and abilities to translate complex technical changes into clear, actionable messaging for diverse stakeholder audiences.
- Ability to analyze adoption metrics, stakeholder feedback, and readiness data to inform decision making.
- Capable of handling multiple tasks or projects simultaneously, meeting assigned deadlines.
- Knowledge of organizational change management methodologies, frameworks, and best practices supporting IT transformations.
- Strong understanding of IT project life cycles, service management practices, and enterprise technology environments.
