Copper and Brass Division provides distribution and processing of aluminum, stainless steel, copper, brass, bronze and more, serving markets across North America.
- Apply metal to customer orders and accurately process material according to work order specifications.
- Ensure processing equipment is maintained in a safe and clean condition.
- Maintain the processing area in a clean, safe, and orderly manner.
- Complete all required information entry accurately.
- Perform any other tasks as assigned.
- We are hiring on 2nd shift. Pay $19-$20 per hour based on experience.
- Operate cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment.
- Pull, inspect and verify product before processing.
- Set up equipment to run material according to specifications and set up notes.
- Process set up notes according to work order specifications and verify product meets set up note specifications per written work instructions.
- Record measurements (sampling plan) and communicate changes/clarifications to the appropriate sales representative.
- Perform equipment preventive maintenance and general clean-up.
- Enter/delete material identification tags per written instructions.
- Assist in the packaging of material per written work instructions and work orders.
- Maintain issued measurement equipment in working condition; operate weighing scale and record inspection measurements.
- Identify, record, and segregate scrap and non-conforming material.
- Provide feedback to supervision regarding machine efficiency and product quality.
- Complete job responsibilities in a manner that ensures personal and coworker safety.
- Train others when required; assist in lean and/or quality activities.
- Work directly on the warehouse floor near heavy machinery.

Minimum Requirements
:
- High school diploma / GED
- Ability to read and write
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
- Perform basic math skills
- Safety mindset
Preferred Requirements
:
- Previous warehouse experience, especially in the metals industry
- Previous forklift experience
- Use of handheld measuring tools
- Computer literate
