Opportunity OverviewDessert Holdings is looking for a Sanitation Manager with responsibility for the cleaning of the entire campus and facility, including office space and production area in our Kennesaw, Georgia facility.
RESPONSIBILITIES:- Responsible for the day‑to‑day operations of the Sanitation and Set‑up departments.
- Ensure that both the housekeeping and sanitation staff have an efficiently maximized workload, while keeping them motivated and focused on the work.
- Revise plans through the year and ensure that all programs are appropriate.
- Maintain appropriate licensing and stay current with technology surrounding GMPs, sanitation practices, and food safety.
- Coordinate with staff, contractors, and suppliers to control and minimize costs while maintaining high operational standards.
- Design and implement sanitation policies and protocols, focused on maintaining and "excellent" rating for SQF audits.
- Provide or coordinate training to all staff and new hires to achieve goals.
- Help to solve plant issues by contributing to overall continuous improvement in the facility.
- Minimum of 2 years of leadership/supervisory experience in a food manufacturing environment
- A Bachelor's degree in a related/supporting field is preferred
- Prior knowledge of the 7 Steps of Sanitation and Master Steps of Sanitation
- CIP experience
- Demonstrated effective planning, organizing, and priority setting skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite and basic mathematical skills
- Bilingual with Spanish or Creole language skills preferred
- Able to move objects of up to 50 pounds and move without the designated working area
