What You Get To Do

The Technical Expert Controls Commissioning II is responsible for providing technical guidance and implementation support to project team members and leaders. This role supports successful commissioning within the scope of industrial automation, control logic, and system integration. This position requires intermediate analytical skills, hands‑on experience with industrial control systems, and the demonstrated ability to drive technical issue resolution in fast‑paced, time‑sensitive situations.

Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership & Support
    • Support the execution of commissioning protocols
    • Deliver structured technical instructions and real‑time troubleshooting support to commissioning teams, ensuring adherence to system design
    • Mentor and support Level I Technical Experts to advance their technical skills
    • Assist in the verification and validation of control systems, to ensure readiness and compliance with performance benchmarks
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve complex issues
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance
    • Analyze metrics and milestones to identify areas for continuous quality improvement
    • Conduct advanced quality checks on programs and materials, ensuring adherence to standards and safety
    • Lead inspections, testing activities and compliance with KNAPP processes
  • Training & Documentation
    • Assist in training new team members on systems and processes
    • Generate detailed technical documentation within scope of level II role and project assignments to support knowledge transfer and startup support
    • Drive quality and reliability through cross‑functional collaboration, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and troubleshooting
    • Own documentation standards and support continuous improvement in commissioning practices
  • Commissioning & Customer Support
    • Lead commissioning efforts both remotely and on‑site
    • Actively support customer engagements and service activities during critical project milestones
  • Project Involvement & Improvement Initiatives
    • Actively participate in internal projects and drive process optimization
    • Take initiative and proactively work to meet project goals and resolve technical challenges
    • Recommend and implement solutions for technical and procedural improvements
    • Foster a culture of proactive problem‑solving and innovation
  • Communication
    • Maintain regular communication with team members and stakeholders
    • Provide clear updates and technical feedback to relevant departments
    • Communicate effectively with team members and escalated issues appropriately
What You Have
  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
  • Obtain and maintain all applicable certifications as required for position and project
  • Experience using PLC control or Subsystems
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suites and project documentation
Working Conditions and Environment
  • This role requires flexibility to work beyond standard business hours, including weekends, overtime, and responding to urgent customer needs as necessary
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Travel required up to 30%
  • Passport or ability to obtain passport
