Plant Supervisor – Manufacturing Operations

About the Opportunity
We're partnering with a growing manufacturing organization seeking a Plant Supervisor to oversee daily production operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for ensuring production goals are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate is a strong people leader who enjoys developing teams, driving continuous improvement, and solving operational challenges on the production floor.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily manufacturing operations to ensure production schedules and quality standards are achieved.
- Lead production associates, team leads, and shift personnel in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Coordinate production priorities while maximizing labor efficiency and equipment utilization.
- Monitor production performance and respond quickly to operational issues impacting productivity.
- Partner with Maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and support preventive maintenance activities.
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture while ensuring compliance with OSHA, GMP, and company policies.
- Conduct daily production meetings and communicate performance expectations and safety initiatives.
- Coach, mentor, and develop production employees while fostering accountability and engagement.
- Collaborate with Quality, Warehouse, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to ensure smooth production flow.
- Monitor key production metrics including output, labor efficiency, downtime, scrap, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on increasing productivity, reducing waste, and improving operational performance.
- Assist with production reporting, shift handoffs, employee training, and performance management.
Qualifications
Required
- 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience leading production teams in high-speed manufacturing, consumer goods, packaging, food processing, or similar industries.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, production scheduling, and employee supervision.
- Experience driving safety, quality, and operational performance.
- Proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced production environment.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical education or an associate degree is preferred.
Preferred
- Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience.
- Experience with ERP or Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
- Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.
- Experience tracking production KPIs and operational metrics.
