Plasma Center Nurse - RN

Job Description

As a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse), you will support plasma center operations under the guidance of the Center Manager and Physician. Your responsibilities include determining donor eligibility, managing donor adverse events, reviewing laboratory test results, and notifying donors of unsuitable results.

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing serological protein electrophoresis (SPE).
• Evaluate donor reactions and address medical emergencies following standard operating procedures, coordinating with Center Physician and medical transport services.
• Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or medical/technical guidance.
• Support hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate with occupational health/ER and EHS guidance.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, supporting investigations related to pandemic threats.

• High school diploma or equivalent, or graduate equivalent of a recognized nursing program with state requirements.
• Licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned:
  Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA).
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfillment of state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Completion of FDA‑approved training requirements for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
• Minimum two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

• Sign‑on bonus of $1,500.
• Hourly wage range: $33.44 – $45.98 (based on qualifications and experience).
