Position Overview
Senior Quality Manager
Lead and manage the Human Resources assigned to the Quality department, develop and enforce the Quality Management System (QMS) across product design, manufacturing, and supplier management, ensure compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100, and other standards, foster a zero‑defect culture, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage the Quality department personnel to achieve maximum performance while producing quality product at minimum cost.
- Monitor quality performance of new and existing processes and products within the Kennesaw site including Cargo, Mutliflex, E2, E3, Dixel related products (IPROs, CC200, etc.) and other product families.
- Ensure timely disposition of materials identified as discrepant in manufacturing or inspection.
- Manage customer escalations, audits, and performance metrics; communicate with customers when corrective and preventive actions are required.
- Champion Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, and PFMEA to drive process improvements and yield enhancements.
- Monitor and audit suppliers, driving quality improvements in raw materials and components.
- Lead implementation and maintenance of quality systems including but not limited to ISO 9000.
- Promote quality awareness among all employees.
- Ensure systems conform to divisional policies and directives.
- Serve as point of contact for corrective and preventive action RCCM on non‑conformances returned by customers through RMA or other avenues.
- Develop and maintain the plant’s QMS to demonstrate best‑in‑class performance.
- Coordinate recovery of costs associated with reworking or sorting supplier non‑conforming material.
- Maintain communication line with sales, product management, engineering, and customers to resolve issues.
- Implement statistical techniques for problem solving and publish plant data in dashboards to show progress vs KPIs.
- Actively participate in new product development to ensure key quality characteristics are incorporated.
- 5+ years of Quality Management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in 8D Problem Solving, RCCM, and Risk assessment.
- Current or ability to obtain Six Sigma Green Belt.
- Knowledge of business management processes.
- Ability to travel up to 10%.
- Six Sigma Black Belt.
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE).
- Certified Quality Auditor (CQA).
