Lead Chiller Technician

Lee Company is seeking a Lead Chiller Technician to support commercial and industrial customers across the Southeast. In this role, you will lead diagnostics, repair, and maintenance of large tonnage chillers and associated HVAC systems, ensuring safe, reliable operation. You will mentor technicians, coordinate daily workload, and uphold our safety-first, people-focused culture. Responsibilities include troubleshooting complex control systems, performing start-ups and commissioning, documenting all work in our digital systems, and collaborating with customers and project teams to deliver high-quality, efficient solutions and long-term system performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of commercial and industrial chiller systems
• Perform start-up, diagnostics, and performance testing on HVAC and chiller equipment
• Supervise and mentor technicians, ensuring quality workmanship and safety compliance
• Coordinate daily workload, prioritize service calls, and communicate job status to stakeholders
• Interpret schematics, technical manuals, and control diagrams for complex systems
• Ensure adherence to Lee Company safety standards, policies, and industry regulations
• Document work performed, parts used, and recommendations in service software
• Collaborate with project managers and customers to plan and execute chiller projects
• Support commissioning and retrofits of chiller and central plant systems
• Provide on-call and emergency support as needed for critical facilities
