ONESHIELD(POLICY ADMIN SYSTEM) DRAGON DEVELOPER, CORE JAVA, ORACLE SQL, ORACLE PLSQL, PROPERTY CASUALTY INSURANCE DOMAIN KNOWLEDGE.

• 5+ years of property and casualty insurance work experience.
• Good understanding of insurance business processes and technologies (e.g., claims, product development, quoting, underwriting, rating, workflow).
• Experience with metadata driven policy administration systems such as One Shield’s Dragon policy administration system as well as rate, rules changes.
• Experience working with 3rd party insurance data sources and interfaces such as ISO, Lexis Nexis, IVANS, etc.
• A good understanding of emerging technology space to improve customer satisfaction and reduce friction.
• Needs only general instructions on work; can walk into a problem and analyze the underlying issue, and use judgment, creativity, and sound knowledge to develop and recommend solutions.
• Can influence internal customers to balance their requirements against what’s most appropriate for a world-class organization, and find the right compromise.
• Strong consensus building skills and ability to convey technical concepts in a clear, understandable way
• Prior Consulting experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Familiarity in the insurance policy administration space is preferred with specific experience in handling product changes, as well as experience in agile/scrum methodologies.
• This role, occasionally may be required to work a few hours on a weekend and/or late night in support of scheduled system releases.
• In this role, the candidate would be responsible to perform analysis of technical and business processes; build and manage code using standard defined specifications, conduct unit testing and manage training and deployment.
• Through knowledge of Workflow, Rating, DAP, QPP/DEC, and Rating worksheets Transformations with good debugging skills to troubleshoot and perform impact analysis for development/enhancement
• Responsible for maintenance and development of the application using One Shield Dragon Designer Tool.
• Self-motivated with an ability to work in cross platform technologies and to work on more than one project at a time
• Should be a strong team player to lead and cross train the skills with others
• Exposure to P&C Insurance is value add.
• Exposure to PL/SQL and Java is value add.
• Must have good skills with analysis, development of the application in different areas such as Rating, UI, Forms, Workflow, QPP/DEC and Rating worksheets.
• Strong debugging skills using workflow in the Dagon Designer Tool.
• Preferable PL/SQL Knowledge, Java/J2EE knowledge, Oracle Administration, P& C Insurance background
• Should have hands-on experience with the One Shield Dragon Designer tool.
• Should have worked on UI, Rating, Forms, Workflow, and Object Modeling modules.
• Object-oriented analysis and design using common design patterns
• Work with users and application stakeholders to verify and validate the requirement
• Should have collaborative skills with other team members.
• Should possess good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Require detailed and comprehensive knowledge of applications and systems that he/she has worked with.
• Knowledge in writing packages/procedures for Java-facing applications
• Write database triggers, PL/SQL, and packages according to the business requirements
• Need to know how external systems are integrated with the One Shield system.
