QA Automation Engineer

Insight Global is assisting a client in finding a QA Automation Engineer working within the Enterprise Solutions team. This role serves as a core member of a growing Quality Assurance (QA) Team, helping to facilitate and accelerate the QA process throughout the organization. Test automation is the primary focus of this position. We are looking for a strong hands-on QA Automation Engineer with Playwright experience who can quickly understand applications, identify automation opportunities, and begin delivering automated tests early in the development lifecycle.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working across multiple projects and applications, collaborating with different development and business teams, and helping increase the speed, reliability, and coverage of the overall QA process. Strong automation skills are essential.

Experience with API automation is a strong plus, while MongoDB or other No

SQL database experience is a nice to have.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in all phases of the Agile development process.
• Develop, maintain, and execute automated tests using Playwright as the primary automation framework.
• Quickly identify and implement high-value automation opportunities to accelerate QA efforts.
• Help increase automated test coverage and reduce repetitive manual regression testing.
• Work effectively across multiple projects, applications, and development teams, balancing priorities and automation needs.
• Design and develop clear, concise, comprehensive test plans and test cases for web applications, web services, APIs, and service-oriented architectures.
• Build reusable, maintainable, and scalable automation solutions and test components.
• Integrate automated tests into development and CI/CD workflows where appropriate.
• Participate in peer review of test cases, test code, test plans, and defects.
• Troubleshoot automated test failures and distinguish application defects from automation or environment issues.
• Work effectively with employees at all levels to understand QA needs across the organization and help establish priorities and expectations.
• Experience working with Git or equivalent source version control. Experience with bug tracking and workflow management tools, preferably JIRA.
