JOB TITLE: Assistant Athletic Director
CLASSIFICATION: Exempt/Full-Time (12 months/40 hours)
REPORTS TO: Director of Athletics

The Assistant Athletic Director supports the mission and vision of Mount Paran Christian School by providing operational and logistical leadership for the Athletics Department. This role is responsible for ensuring that athletic events are run with excellence and efficiency. This position will work with the Athletic Director and other Assistant Athletic Directors to plan, execute, and evaluate athletic events on campus.

This position will also play a part in the execution of our game day experience, including working with the Communications Office, the Operations Office, and the Technology Office.

The Assistant Athletic Director plays a vital role in ensuring that athletic events run efficiently and in alignment with the school’s values of excellence and Christ-centered education.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in interscholastic or collegiate athletics.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with coaches, students, parents, and outside vendors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and scheduling software.
  • Detail-oriented and solution-focused with the ability to anticipate needs and problem-solve quickly.
  • Visionary leader who is capable of taking an idea to completion.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of Mount Paran Christian School and the ability to represent the school in a Christ-honoring manner.
Requirements
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends for athletic events as needed.
  • Ability to lift and transport equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Familiarity with facility scheduling platforms and event management software preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate school vehicles (golf carts, utility vehicles, etc.).
Responsibilities For MPCS:
  • Support the mission and leadership of MPCS while modeling Christian character and servant leadership.
  • Accept the work at Mount Paran Christian School as a personal calling and represent the gospel of Jesus Christ through words and actions.
  • Comply with all expectations as outlined in the employee contract, life and conduct statement, and employee handbook.
  • Assist in advancing the Athletics Department’s strategic plan through operational excellence and efficient support of programs.
For Athletic Events:
  • Coordinate the execution of all on-campus athletic events.
  • Coordinate the staffing of all on-campus events.
  • Work with the Director of Athletics and the Eagle Backer Booster Club to increase revenue through sponsor ships and strategic partnerships.
  • Coordinate with the Facilities Department to ensure athletic facilities are properly prepared, maintained, and ready for use.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Athletics Department and head coaches to manage the proper inventory, storage, distribution, and use of athletic equipment and uniforms.
  • Share in the responsibility of serving as Game Manager for on-campus athletic events, ensuring smooth execution and a positive game-day experience.
  • Provide logistical support for tournaments, playoff games, and special athletic events as assigned.
  • Assist the Director of Athletics and coaching staff with day-to-day operational needs and projects.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and move equipment, boxes, and athletic supplies up to 50 lbs.; ability to stand and walk for extended periods; frequent set-up and tear-down of event equipment; significant computer work; excellent vision and hearing abilities required.
