Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Overview

Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk in Kennesaw, GA
. In this hands-on, fast-paced role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate, timely shipment and receipt of materials while supporting warehouse operations and maintaining strong relationships with customers and carriers. Apply today if you meet the qualifications listed below.

• Receiving and processing daily material orders, including accepting deliveries, labeling items, and distributing packages internally.
• Coordinating outbound shipments to customers, including boxing goods, addressing packages, and communicating with shipping carriers.
• Maintaining accurate shipping and receiving records and preparing regular reports.
• Scheduling large shipments and coordinating logistics to ensure adequate storage space and staffing.
• Tracking inventory levels and reporting shortages to the purchasing team.
• Processing orders using customer-preferred shipping systems (UPS, Fed Ex, LTL, etc.).
• Operating pallet jacks and lifts and safely boxing and moving materials up to 70 lbs.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
• Performing customer service duties and maintaining positive relationships with clients and carriers.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1+ year of warehouse or shipping/receiving experience.
• At least one year of supervisory experience in a warehouse setting.
• Experience with UPS World Ship, Fed Ex, and LTL shipping. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and database/spreadsheet systems (Sage preferred).
• Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. and stand or walk for extended periods.

Monday–Friday: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

$17.00 per hour
