Visiting Nurse Association of Southeast Missouri is looking for a Registered Nurse to join the VNA Home Health team.
About VNA Home HealthThe Home Health program provides services for those needing skilled services under orders from a private physician delivered in the patient's private home. Visiting Nurse Association of Southeast Missouri is a non-profit organization.
Type of Work InvolvedAssess symptoms of diseases and responses to treatment, teach patients and caregivers how to give their care, and answer questions about meds, diet, disease process, activity, etc. Administer IV and injectable meds, perform prescribed treatments, provide wound management, and ostomy care, restore independence, and communicate changes in the patient's health to the physician.
TrainingVNA provides a 30-day preceptor/orientation training for new hires. This will allow an opportunity for you to shadow our Home Health Team Members for hands-on training. It will also allow time for our Team Members to ride with you, allowing you to ask questions while making patient visits. Computer training will cover the use of the handheld used to make patient visits.
Position RequirementsCertification:
Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Missouri
Experience:
At least one year of experience in a healthcare institution functioning in the role of an R.N.
