The Kennett School District is accepting applications for two Maintenance/Bus Driver positions for the  school year. Applicants need a Class B – Commercial Driver’s License with Passenger Endorsement or must be willing to obtain the necessary license. Training will be provided on‑site with the Maintenance/Transportation Supervisor.

Title: Maintenance/Bus Driver

Qualifications: Class B – Commercial Driver’s License with Passenger Endorsement

Reports To: Transportation and Maintenance Supervisor

Performance Responsibilities:

• Obeys all traffic laws.
• Observes all mandatory safety regulations for school buses.
• Maintains discipline while students are on the bus.
• Reports undisciplined students to proper authority.
• Keeps assigned bus clean.
• Follows assigned schedule.
• Checks bus before each operation for mechanical defects.
• Notifies authority in case of mechanical failure.
• Discharges students only at authorized stops.
• Exercises responsible leadership on out-of-district school trips.
• Transports only authorized students.
• Reports all accidents and completes required reports.
• Completes assigned work orders.
• Proactively takes responsibility for repair and maintenance of buildings and grounds.
