** Pay:** $23 to $25 DOE
We are seeking a detail-oriented
** Accounts Payable Specialist
** to join our accounting team. This position is responsible for processing a high volume of vendor invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, and ensuring timely payments while following company policies and internal controls. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
** Responsibilities*
* + Review, verify, and process vendor invoices for accuracy and proper approvals.
+ Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices as required.
+ Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers.
+ Reconcile monthly vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
+ Request missing documentation and investigate account discrepancies.
+ Maintain accurate vendor records, including W-9 forms and payment information.
+ Respond to vendor inquiries regarding invoices, payment status, and account balances.
+ Process employee expense reimbursements according to company policy.
+ Maintain financial records by accurately filing accounting documentation.
+ Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations and reporting.
+ Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation.
+ Collaborate with purchasing, receiving, and accounting departments to resolve invoice and payment issues.
+ Determine the appropriate processing method for various invoice types, including freight, materials, utilities, services, and non-PO invoices.
+ Support multiple company locations while managing a high volume of invoices.
+ Prioritize daily workload and meet established deadlines.
+ Follow company accounting procedures and internal controls to maintain financial accuracy and security.
+ Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
** Qualifications*
* + Previous accounts payable or accounting experience required!
+
Experience with financial or accounting software.
+ Strong data entry and organizational skills.
+ Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
+ Solid general math and problem-solving skills.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is preferred.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
