Secretary/Registrar/Data Analyst – Tri-Tech

Hours:

8 hours per day (7 A.M. – 3:30 P.M.), 201 days per year (plus additional days for summer school when funded).
Salary: $21.81 – $28.37 per hour.

The Secretary/Registrar/Data Analyst supports student enrollment, data entry, management, and reporting for Tri-Tech. The role requires high quality customer service, accurate data handling in Power School, SM Apply, and Excel, and collaboration with school district registrars, counselors, and Tri-Tech staff.

Responsibilities
  • Provide general administrative support including managing schedules, arranging meetings, and handling communication.
  • Enter, update, and maintain student records in Power School, SM Apply, and Excel. Conduct regular quality checks to ensure accuracy.
  • Gather required enrollment documentation from sending schools, including immunization records and interlocal agreements.
  • Coordinate with the Tri-Tech Director to prepare monthly FTE pre‑count reports, send data to participating districts, and reconcile counts.
  • Assist in enrollment audits, prepare enrollment information, and collaborate with teachers on data matters.
  • Develop positive relationships with sending schools, Tri-Tech staff, and the broader Kennewick School District community.
  • Answer office phones and direct visitors as part of the front‑office team.
  • Perform all duties in compliance with Kennewick School District policies, including regular attendance and punctuality.
Qualifications Required
  • Minimum three years of experience in a secretarial or data analyst role.
  • Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook), Power School or similar student records systems, and Excel.
  • Keyboarding accuracy and speed of 50 words per minute.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong grammar, spelling, and English usage.
  • Telephone etiquette and ability to maintain positive working relationships with students, staff, parents, and the public.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and learn new procedures and technology.
  • Demonstrated commitment to a friendly, caring, and safe office atmosphere.
  • Strong attendance, punctuality, and dependability; self‑starter and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Positive evaluations and recommendations.
  • Willingness to perform related duties as assigned.
Qualifications Preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Stand and walk for prolonged periods; stand, sit, kneel, crouch, twist, and bend; use hands to type and manipulate objects; lift or move 18–26 pounds.
  • Communicate verbally and over the phone; talk/hear and listen to conversations; taste and smell; visual tasks requiring near, far, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
  • Work outdoors in temperatures ranging from –10°F to 100°F+, with potential wet or humid conditions; moderate noise level.
