Build Your Career While Building Communities
At Lydig Construction, we’re more than builders—we’re community partners. For over 65 years, we’ve delivered projects that serve and strengthen the people and places of Washington State. We’re now hiring a Project Engineer to join our growing Tri-Cities team and help bring impactful commercial projects to life.
As a Project Engineer, you’ll play an essential role in the successful planning and execution of major construction projects in the region. You'll collaborate closely with project managers, superintendents, architects, and subcontractors to ensure our projects meet Lydig’s standards for quality, safety, and efficiency.
Note:
This position is based in the Tri-Cities area. Many current projects are located locally, so overnight travel may be minimal, though occasional travel may be required depending on project needs.
What You’ll Do
- Manage submittals, RFI logs, and procurement tracking to maintain project momentum.
- Review vendor and subcontractor documentation for accuracy and contract compliance.
- Take and distribute accurate meeting notes and maintain up-to-date project records.
- Assist project managers with subcontractor coordination, schedule updates, and material delivery tracking.
- Engage in field support, including safety meetings and jobsite logistics.
- Participate in the buyout process and support project closeout documentation.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management (or equivalent experience)
- 0–7 years of commercial construction experience, depending on education level
- Familiarity with construction documents, contracts, and scheduling tools
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with construction software (Procore, Bluebeam, P6 preferred)
- Eagerness to grow and contribute in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
What We Offer
- 100% Employer-Paid Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and Disability Insurance for employees and dependents
- 401(k) with Company Match
- Profit Sharing Program
- Clothing & Cell Phone Allowance
- 15 PTO Days in Year 1 (prorated) + 7 Paid Holidays
