Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant – Trios Southridge Hospital

Local Team Collaboration

At Trios Southridge Hospital, we are growing our strong and collaborative Emergency Medicine team size to 6+ EM physicians and 7.5+ EM Advanced Practice Providers. Our model consists of 27 hours per day of physician coverage and 22 hours per day of Advanced Practice provider coverage. Level 3 Trauma, acute care hospital with 21‑bed ED, 6 fast track beds, and 14 ICU beds.

Annual volume of 24,440 with 10.8% admission rate; 1.5% transfers. Specialty services include:

Anesthesiology
Internal Medicine
Cardiac Catheterization
Cardiology
OB/GYN
Obstetrics
Podiatry

Accountable, on‑site leadership: a local medical director who knows the community and owns the department's performance, supported by Sound's leadership‑development tools. Stable, well‑staffed teams: cohesive teams aligned on our patient‑first culture of excellence, which means less reliance on premium temp labor and more predictable shifts.

Qualifications

Board‑certified/Board‑eligible Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant certification.
Additional certifications required: PALS, BLS, ACLS, ATLS.
Authorized to work in the United States.

Scheduling

APPs work 11‑hour shifts. Full‑time is 120 hours per month.

Key Responsibilities

Respond to floor codes, including neonatal resuscitation.
CT in‑house, Ultrasound, and MRI on call at night.
Bedside Ultrasound performed by all EM physicians.
