23277 – Assistant Boys Soccer Coach at Southridge High School.
Goals and Responsibilities:
- Carry out the objectives of the sports program as outlined by the athletic director.
- Assist the head coach in administrative, program coordination, and developmental duties.
- Instruct participants in individual, group, and team techniques, tactics, and physical training necessary for success.
- Implement teaching and coaching philosophies consistent with the Kennewick School District and Washington Interscholastic Activities Association mission statements.
Required Qualifications:
- Current First Aid/CPR cards and knowledge of related preventative health and training standards.
- Meeting and maintaining coaching standards as determined by the Kennewick School District and the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association.
- High School Diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated short‑ and long‑term organization and management skills.
- Three current recommendations.
- Evidence of being a positive role model.
- Clearly defined philosophy for the coaching level applied for.
- Coaching experience in boys soccer.
- Evidence of effective public relations.
- Ability to work cooperatively and communicate with students, parents, assistant coaches, administrators, and community members.
- Evidence of WIAA certification and compliance with WIAA and district rules and regulations.
Completion of Safe Schools web‑based training is required as a condition of employment.
Physical DemandsStand, walk, push or pull 18‑26 lbs, sit, kneel, crouch, twist, bend, type, handle, and reach with hands. Talk, hear, and communicate effectively. Maintain close, far, color, peripheral, and depth vision. Lift or move up to 10 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 26 lbs. Work outdoors in temperatures from ‑10 °F to 100 °F +. Noise level is moderate.
