• Develop and evaluate school programs and personnel, leading a strong team focused on core academic needs of students.
• Analyze assessment results and use data to support continuous program improvement.
• Provide meaningful evaluations for professional growth using the Danielsen Framework.
• Implement Washington State Learning Standards and support students on the Smarter Balanced Assessment.
• Collaborate with the district’s elementary principals to share ideas, solve problems, and enhance school effectiveness.

Support systems are in place to help the right candidate succeed in this new era of educational administration.

• A Washington State Teaching certificate, Administrative Certificate, and a Master’s Degree in Education.
• Academic background and experience in staff supervision and development.
• In‑depth understanding of learning theory and effective instructional strategies.
• Thorough understanding of elementary curriculum.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to focus staff toward long‑ and short‑term goals.
• Ability to work well with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Energetic, positive, and creative leadership to implement school improvement plans.
• Strong background in reading and math curriculum and instruction.
• Leadership in a shared decision‑making environment.
• Use of assessment data to evaluate programs and pupil progress toward standards.
• Effective communication to a diverse audience.
• Positive high‑profile leadership for the school and community.
• Help teachers improve instructional strategies.
• Multiple language ability preferred, especially Spanish.
• Ability to analyze state, district, and classroom assessment data to improve instruction.
• Training and/or experience in Response to Intervention program development and implementation.
• Monitor, assist, and evaluate effective instruction and assessment practices.
• Provide for the physical and emotional safety of students and staff.
• Create a culture that promotes ongoing learning and teaching improvement.

Elementary – $148,078–$161,426 (Based on 25/26 salary schedule)
