Qualifications Required

Valid Washington State teacher’s certificate with endorsement in elementary education

Satisfactory evaluations

Preferred Qualifications

Successful teaching experience as documented by evaluations and references
Willingness to comply with the requirement to teach the required curriculum as implemented at the school
Evidence of success in working well with parents, students, and staff members
Evidence of success in working collaboratively with others to develop collective efficacy, especially with the grade‑level team
Recent primary classroom teaching experience within the last three years
Training or demonstrated successful experience in PBIS, MTSS A and B Tiers 1 & 2, CKLA Curriculum, Clear Math Curriculum, Standards Mapping and Unit Planning, Cooperative learning, use of technology including AI and its integration into instruction, alternative assessment strategies based on rubrics or other standards, hands‑on science instruction using Carolina Biological STC Kit, TPEP evaluation, Danielson Framework, and GLAD training
Willingness to or evidence of successfully including students with special needs in the Gen Ed classroom
Evidence of success in working with students with diverse needs
Evidence of successfully aligning curriculum to state standards and using a variety of assessment techniques to monitor student progress and drive instructional decisions
Evidence of successfully helping students reach district and state performance standards
Evidence of successful classroom management and student/teacher relationships
Evidence of successful experience using data to adjust support for student progress
Belief that ALL students can succeed, No Exceptions
Punctual and consistent attendance

Responsibilities

Meet and instruct the students in the location at the time designated

Develop and maintain a classroom environment conducive to effective learning within the limits of the resources provided

Prepare for classes assigned and show written evidence of preparation upon request from the immediate supervisor

Take all reasonable and necessary precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities

Teach students to set and maintain high standards of classroom behavior (develop a written classroom plan that is connected to the school‑wide behavior expectations)

Maintain records as required by law, District policy and administrative guidelines

Assist in upholding and enforcing school rules and administrative regulations

Attend and participate in staff and team meetings

Teach curriculum as implemented by the school using developmentally appropriate practices, hands‑on projects, cooperative group activities, and assess progress in a variety of ways

Participate in building‑wide programs, including MTSS, PBIS, and Character Strong

Participate in ongoing professional development activities

Work to establish and maintain open lines of communication with students, parents and colleagues concerning both the academic and behavioral progress of all students

Establish and maintain collaborative professional relationships with others

Attend PLC and grade‑level data meetings to discuss student progress

Work collaboratively with the grade‑level team to develop collective efficacy, specifically regarding the PLC 4 critical questions

Perform related duties as assigned by the administration in accordance with District policies and practices
