Position: BUDGET & FINANCE ANALYST - AUDITOR

Overview

The Dougherty County Commission has a vacancy for Assistant County Administrator.

Responsibilities

This position reports directly to the County Administrator and provides assistance in the direction and supervision of various functions of the County government.

Primary responsibilities include assisting the County Administrator in the development, implementation and direction of policies, plans and programs; assisting in the preparation of the annual budget; acting as liaison between the public and county departments; coordinating risk management activities; serving as liaison to Retirement Plan Committee and various other special committees as directed by the County Administrator.

Employee responsible for working with the IT Department to oversee the County''s technology and telecommunication needs and manages the website content for the Government.

This position coordinates State and Federal grant activities. The Assistant Administrator acts as Chief Administrative Officer in the absence of the County Administrator.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification:

Applicants must possess a Master''s Degree from an accredited college or university in Public Administration, Urban Management, Political Science or related field, with a minimum six years experience, three of which must be in a supervisory capacity in a service or government oriented organization (preferably local government).
