People Services Director | Human Resources Director (Washington) Full Time | Executive Leadership

This is not just another HR Director position. This is a career defining opportunity to shape people strategy within a complex, fast paced healthcare environment where culture, compliance and performance truly matter.

We are seeking an experienced and strategic People Services Director to lead the HR function at executive level. You will direct departmental activities and resources to ensure alignment with organisational objectives, clinical standards and regulatory requirements. Operating at both strategic and operational levels, you will play a central role in building a high performing, engaged workforce that underpins exceptional patient care.

In this role, you will set and deliver clear departmental goals aligned to business priorities while ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards. You will oversee workforce planning, recruitment, performance management, employee relations and ongoing professional development. Financial stewardship will also sit within your remit, including budget oversight, audits and operational controls. With exposure to sensitive and confidential information, you will bring a strong understanding of healthcare compliance, including HIPAA, and ensure robust governance frameworks remain in place.

Leadership is critical. You will manage and develop an established HR team, fostering a culture of accountability, growth and service excellence. You will confidently navigate complex people challenges, influence senior stakeholders and contribute to wider organisational decision making. Your ability to balance commercial awareness with people centric leadership will be key.

The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Human Resources or a related field and bring significant senior level HR leadership experience, ideally within healthcare. You will combine strategic thinking with hands on execution, demonstrate strong financial acumen, and possess the credibility to operate at executive level.

In return, you will join a mission driven organisation that invests meaningfully in its people, offering comprehensive benefits, wellbeing initiatives and clear opportunities for professional growth.

If you are ready to lead with impact, influence organisational strategy and shape a culture where people and performance thrive together, we would welcome your application.

A relocation package is also on offer with this position.
