Overview
A large Data Center in Umatilla, OR is hiring multiple Data Center Technicians Level 1 to join the team for a great opportunity!
Responsibilities- Install, troubleshoot, and replace server components including drives, memory, power supplies, and system boards.
- Perform diagnostics on failed hardware and document findings.
- Execute physical racking, stacking, and cabling of equipment following standards.
- Assist with network device installation and basic connectivity checks.
- Respond to support tickets and incident alerts within defined SLAs.
- Conduct routine data center walkthroughs to identify issues such as alarms, environmental irregularities, or hardware failures.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of parts, tools, and consumables.
- Support preventive maintenance activities on electrical and mechanical systems under supervision.
- Follow all physical security protocols, including access control and visitor escorting.
- Maintain accurate documentation for asset tracking, work performed, and audit requirements.
- Adhere to safety standards and operational procedures.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must be willing to commute out to the areas of Umatilla, OR
- 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Prefer Cabling experience (coax, fiber, cat5, cat6, punch downs, etc.) but not required.
- Data Center / Construction site experience is a plus.
This is a Contract position based out of Kennewick, WA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
