Production Manager

The Senior Production Supervisor coordinates and assigns the activities of production workers, ensures production targets are met, maintains quality standards, and drives P&L results. This position supervises production operations within an assigned area or during assigned shifts.
Responsibilities- Supervises workers that operate production machinery, assemble items, perform quality control, or package goods for shipment.
- Schedules and assigns tasks to workers, troubleshoots issues, and implements improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Responsible for meeting or surpassing daily Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), with accurate reporting that consistently exceeds customer expectations.
- Delivers clear and concise information during shift transition meetings, ensuring the next shift is prepared for success.
- Provides the next level of support for escalated issues during work shifts.
- Maintains consistent production quality by monitoring departmental performance metrics.
- Communicates effectively with management and customers to ensure SLAs are met and issues are promptly resolved.
- Engages in employee relations initiatives, promptly addressing and resolving employee concerns to maintain a positive work environment.
- Assists in P&L forecasting and analysis, alongside labor planning and scheduling.
- Prepares and administers daily performance feedback and reporting as required.
- Coordinates the flow of work through the department and ensures that the department has sufficient levels of inventory to meet demand and is staffed appropriately.
- Provides training, motivation, and support to employees regarding company and departmental procedures, development opportunities, and departmental processes.
- Ensures compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards to maintain a safe working environment for employees and visitors.
- All other duties assigned, based on the business the warehouse supports.
- 4‑5+ years of leadership experience, preferably in a high‑volume production environment.
- Capable problem‑solving skills and decision‑making capabilities, demonstrating a strategic approach with a focus on achieving results and fostering continuous improvement.
- Detail‑oriented and organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities, demonstrating effective verbal and written communication.
- Capacity to engage with customers in a professional manner.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- General knowledge of OSHA standards.
- 5‑7+ years supervisory/management experience in a high‑volume production environment required.
- Technical degree or certification strongly preferred.
- Previous experience working in a high‑volume distribution, manufacturing, technical service (testing and repair) or forward logistics operation a plus.
- Supervising temporary staff.
- Experience working with UKG and Kronos.
- Ability to develop and articulate a clear strategic vision.
- Associate degree preferred or equivalent years of hands‑on experience.
