Role DescriptionThe Tri-City Americans are seeking an energetic, strategic, and results-oriented leader to serve as Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Business Operations. This individual will be responsible for leading all revenue-generating and fan engagement functions of the organization, including ticket sales, corporate partnerships, marketing, digital media, community engagement, and game-day fan experience.
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated sports business professional with a proven track record in ticket sales, sponsorship development, sports marketing, and revenue generation. Working closely with the President and ownership group, the Vice President will play a key role in advancing the Americans’ market position throughout the Tri-Cities region while driving sustainable growth in attendance, sponsorship revenue, brand awareness, and overall fan engagement.
This position is based in Kennewick, Washington and requires a strong presence within the local business and community landscape.
- Revenue Generation & Business Development
- Lead all ticket sales initiatives, including season tickets, mini-packages, premium seating, suites, group sales, and individual game tickets.
- Develop and execute annual sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Identify, pursue, and secure new corporate sponsorship opportunities.
- Manage and grow existing sponsor relationships while maximizing partnership value.
- Develop innovative revenue streams and business opportunities.
- Establish sales objectives, forecasts, and performance measures.
- Marketing & Brand Development
- Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns designed to increase attendance and strengthen brand awareness.
- Oversee traditional, digital, social media, content marketing, and promotional activities.
- Lead audience growth initiatives targeting youth hockey, families, corporate groups, and community organizations.
- Analyze marketing ROI and fan engagement metrics.
- Oversee the club digital strategy, including website, email marketing, social media, and emerging platforms.
- Fan Experience & Community Engagement
- Lead efforts to create an exceptional game-day experience for fans, sponsors, and community stakeholders.
- Strengthen relationships with local youth hockey organizations, schools, businesses, and community groups.

- Minimum 5–10 years of progressive leadership experience in professional sports, junior hockey, collegiate athletics, entertainment, or related industries.
- Demonstrated success in ticket sales and corporate partnership development.
- Experience leading marketing, promotional, and fan engagement strategies.
- Proven ability to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing and social media platforms.
- WHL, CHL, USHL, NAHL, NHL, AHL, ECHL, collegiate athletics, or professional sports experience preferred.
- Estimated annual base salary range: $80,000 to $110,000.
- Full company-paid medical & dental plan (copayments required to add spouse or dependents)
- At least 20 PTO days & paid company holidays per year (mostly scheduled outside of the hockey season).
