Job Summary

American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Kennewick, Washington. This position is a 13‑week contract starting 14 June 2026, 36 hours per week on night shifts of 12 hours (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM), with floating to the mother/baby unit and no on‑call requirements.

• Patient volume: ~110 deliveries per month; 6 labor rooms, 11 mother/baby rooms, 3 triage beds
• Patient ratios follow AWHONN guidelines
• Every other weekend required (48 hrs/month)
• Floating required to Mother/Baby unit
• No on‑call requirements
• EHR systems:
  Centricity and Paragon

• Provide skilled labor and delivery nursing care during night shifts.
• Support labor and delivery unit activities and maintain patient safety.
• Assist with neonatal care and support mother/baby unit when needed.
• Follow institutional policies and clinical protocols.

• Active Washington RN license or compact RN license.
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care RN experience.
• OB/L&D nursing experience required.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, fetal monitoring (AHA certifications required).
• Experience in OR circulation, mother/baby, and triage preferred.
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration.

• 13‑week contract.
• New employee orientation (NEO) offered bi‑weekly throughout the year.
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rate.
• Candidates who have worked permanently at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible.
• Candidates who are employed full time elsewhere are not eligible.
• Scrub color: blue and blue/green.
• Teaching hospital serving a full range of services including ED, OBGYN, orthopedics, pediatrics, and more.

  southeastern Washington’s Tri‑Cities region, 3 hrs from Seattle and Portland, 2 hrs from Spokane.

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend to be determined. Full benefits include premium medical, dental, vision, and life insurance starting day one; generous 401(k) match; housing stipends and additional benefits.
