Registered Nurse (PRN) – PACU
Job Type: PRN | Variable Wage: $40.81 - $75.65 per hour

As a registered nurse (RN) joining our team, you will provide direct and indirect patient care in the Recovery/Post‑Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will meet the physical, psychosocial, and cultural needs of patients and families, communicate effectively with all members of the healthcare team regarding changes in patient condition or response to treatment, and report to the Director of Surgery.
EssentialFunctions
- Perform duties as assigned and requested.
- Complete focused patient assessments and reassessments based on patient’s condition, procedures, medications, and treatments.
- Appropriately assess and reassess pain; utilize suitable pain management techniques.
- Provide patient care and communicate effectively with patients of all ages and with specific needs.
- Demonstrate knowledge of medications and ensure correct administration following the six rights to minimize medication errors.
- Assist physicians with procedures and provide services requiring technical and manual skills.
- Perform treatments and deliver care within licensure scope.
- Ensure patient safety by performing all aspects of care in an environment that reduces the likelihood of errors.
- $2.25 - $4.50 shift differential

- Current state RN license.
- Bachelor’s degree or associate degree from an accredited nursing school.
- BLS, ACLS, TNCC required.
- One year of experience required.
