Labor and Delivery RN – Travel Nurse

TNAA Total Med RN seeks a Labor and Delivery RN for a 13‑week assignment in Kennewick, Washington. The assignment is 12‑hour days, 36 hours per week on a travel basis with tax‑free stipend and weekly pay. The role requires 3 years of recent acute care experience.

• Provide care and support to women before, during, and after delivery.
• Assist physicians with epidural and pain medication administration, episiotomy, and preparation for cesarean delivery.
• Stay with and monitor patients throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and help patients with breathing techniques.
• Check cervix periodically to monitor progression and lack of dilation.
• Ensure beds are clean and dry; clean up bodily fluids before and after birth.
• Aid physician with drapes, gloves, gowns, delivery instruments, etc.
• Provide immediate newborn care.
• Stand, walk, bend, lean, and stoop for long periods; lift up to 20 lb routinely and up to 50 lb when moving patients.
• Maintain composure under stress and relate to people of all ages, backgrounds.

• Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• 3 years of recent acute care experience.
• ACLS, BLS, FHM, NRP certifications – minimum 2 years.
• Additional certifications may be required before assignment.
