Position Summary:
The RN - Assistant Director of Nursing supports the Director of Nursing in managing the Nursing Services department to deliver high-quality patient care in compliance with laws, regulations, and standards.
Responsibilities include:- Assisting in planning, developing, and evaluating nursing operations
- Hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating nursing staff
- Overseeing infection control and patient care
- Assuming the DON's duties in their absence
- Providing direct nursing care when required
- Maintaining professional relationships and confidentiality
- Ensuring compliance with policies, laws, and regulations
- Demonstrating excellent customer service and teamwork
- Participating in emergency procedures and promoting safety
- ASN or BSN from an accredited institution
- Preferred geriatric/nursing experience, especially in post-acute care
- CPR certification (to be maintained during employment)
- Expert knowledge of nursing practices, laws, and regulations
- Strong decision-making, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks and work effectively in team settings
