Your RoleWe are seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer to join our team in Kennewick, WA. The role involves ensuring that products and processes meet quality standards, collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and operations, and maintaining compliance with industry regulations and customer requirements.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement quality control processes and internal operational standards.
- Support new product development with quality planning, including FMEA and control plans.
- Review and approve technical documentation, specifications, and procedures.
- Monitor production and engineering processes to ensure product quality.
- Conduct inspections and testing to verify compliance with requirements.
- Ensure adherence to internal quality standards and external regulations.
- Perform root cause analysis on defects and nonconformities.
- Implement and track corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Investigate customer complaints and quality issues.
- Conduct internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with standards such as ISO 9001/AS9100 and maintain documentation required for audits and certifications.
- Analyze quality data and performance metrics.
- Generate reports on defects, trends, and improvement opportunities.
- Use statistical tools and KPIs to monitor and improve processes.
- Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, sales, and operations teams to implement process improvements.
- Communicate quality issues and drive resolution across departments.
- Support training and awareness on quality standards and best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree (or nearing completion within one year) in engineering, quality, materials science, or a related technical field.
- At least two years of experience in quality engineering or quality assurance, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Hands‑on experience with quality management systems, supplier quality processes, and raw material evaluation.
- Knowledge of industry standards such as ISO 9001 and AS9100; additional experience in a materials testing laboratory is a plus.
- Strong work ethic with a can‑do attitude, safety‑focused, and dependable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate cross‑functionally.
- Proactive, detail‑oriented approach with a mindset centered on continuous improvement.
- Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and adapt in fast‑paced environments.
The salary range for this position is $62,000 – $92,000 annually with a 10% annual bonus and annual merit eligibility.
