Field/Service Technician, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Installation Technician
ATS is seeking Maritime NDT Trainees and experienced Maritime NDT Techs to support our Seattle, WA office. Must be local to Seattle, WA or willing to relocate. This is a permanent position with a pay range of $28 to $35+ per hour based on experience and certification held.
Responsibilities- Support customers and projects in the field while being trained in Maritime NDT-related work (NDT Trainee).
- Support customers and projects in the field while conducting NDT in most methods (Level II Tech).
- Collect, manage, and evaluate test data for accuracy and consistency.
- Maintain and report test results.
- Complete reports and documentation as required.
- Read technical documents and engineering specifications.
- Follow precise directions and procedures.
- Work safely and maintain a clean and safe work area per company policies.
- Adapt to an ever-changing schedule.
- Use computers for data entry.
- Work from heights, on scaffolding, ladders, elevated platforms, man‑baskets, and in confined spaces requiring crawling, stooping, or climbing.
- Work around operating equipment and industrial environments.
- Work with radiation and hazardous materials such as cleaners, penetrants, and film developing chemicals.
- Shifts up to 12 hours per day, up to 7 days per week, and travel for extended periods.
- Lift and carry 100 pounds.
- Formal NDT classroom hours (Entry Level).
- Level II certifications in VT, PT, MT, UT and/or RT.
- Pass a drug screen.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Passport and TWIC in hand or ability to obtain them promptly.
- Ability to relocate to or be local in Seattle, WA.
- Learn and comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Only U.S. Persons may apply due to ITAR restrictions.
- Wear safety equipment as required by the safety department.
