About the Position

TTap Construction is looking for a dependable, hardworking Laborer to join our team. Pay will be determined based on skill level and experience.

Position Summary

The Laborer supports the construction crew with a variety of general labor, underground utility, concrete, site preparation, and equipment-related duties. This position requires physical labor, safe operation of hand and power tools, and the ability to work safely and effectively around heavy equipment and changing jobsite conditions. Employees will also use mobile technology for timekeeping, communication, and tracking job progress.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform general labor including shoveling, raking, grading, gravel placement, back filling, and cleanup.
  • Install and backfill sewer, water, conduit, irrigation, and other underground utilities.
  • Install structures, dry wells, valves, water services, meters, and utility connections.
  • Assist with water/sewer testing, tie-ins, repairs, and purification.
  • Assist with concrete, curbs, sidewalks, ADA ramps, and concrete around utilities.
  • Set hubs, assist with layout, shoot grade, and operate lasers as trained.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, jumping jacks, plate compactors, and small equipment.
  • Assist with equipment greasing, fueling, fluid checks, and daily preparation.
  • Spot for equipment operators and safely work around heavy machinery.
  • Perform erosion control, silt fence installation, and traffic control as needed.
  • Load/unload materials, assist with trailer loading, and pick up parts and supplies.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean and organized jobsite.
  • Follow all company safety policies and properly use required PPE.
  • Use mobile technology for timekeeping, communication, and jobsite documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the construction crew.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Dependable, hardworking, and willing to work as part of a team.
  • Construction experience preferred, but not required.
  • Willingness to learn, take direction, and develop new skills.
  • Ability to safely perform physical labor and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, kneel, climb, and work on uneven terrain.
  • Ability to work safely around heavy equipment, dust, noise, and changing jobsite conditions.
  • Valid driver’s license preferred/required, depending on position requirements.
Schedule

Monday–Friday, approximately 40 hours per week. Occasional weekend work may be required based on project needs.
