This position will assist with daily operations at the CAA Nexus Youth Club at Rowena Chess Elementary School in Pasco, WA. This person will support Nexus Youth clients by assisting with classes and overseeing recreational activities.
Schedule:
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday: 2:45 p.m.
- 6:00 p.m. - Wednesday: 12:30 p.m.
- 6:00 p.m.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
This position requires that the person be willing to invest in enriching people's lives through training, recreation, and community involvement. Must enjoy working with persons with disabilities. Helps facilitate activities such as teaching classes, swimming, oversight of recreational activities for persons with disabilities, cooking, and leading crafts.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Helps staff oversee CAA Nexus Youth Club clients ages 12-22.

- Must pass a background check according to DSHS standards
- CPR/First Aid required or willing to obtain within first 30 days
- This position requires a high degree of responsibility and organizational skills
- The individual must have initiative, be dependable, and require little supervision
- Must be professional, friendly, and supportive of Agency personnel and their efforts
- Needs to communicate effectively, utilize interpersonal skills, and work effectively as a team member with staff
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary
- Good relations and a positive image must be portrayed to the business community
- Must be aware of the clients' needs and capabilities and strive for a continued cooperative atmosphere while working with clients
- Be alert to clients' aspirations and be willing to help plan to strengthen these capabilities
- Be aware of the need for confidentiality and to limit agency's use of information concerning clients
- Must have a clean driving record and a current Washington State Driver's license, and proof of insurance
- Must have Microsoft Office experience
- Must be personable, professional, and enjoy working as part of a team
