CDL Driver

Overview

The CDL Driver at SRS ensures safe, timely delivery of building materials to job sites, verifies inventory, and maintains high service standards. The role supports operational efficiency and fosters strong customer relationships through professionalism, teamwork, and responsiveness.

• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and verify inventory accuracy.
• Ensure secure, damage-free deliveries and assess job site conditions to prevent hazards.
• Collaborate with customers for material placement and document deliveries with photographs per company policy.
• Load and unload materials using forklifts or manual methods, up to 100 lbs.
• Operate within varied weather, noise, and physical environments, reading job-related documents in English.
• Maintain safe driving practices, comply with DOT/OSHA regulations, and perform regular vehicle maintenance checks.

• Valid CDL Class A or B with air brakes endorsement and a clean driving record.
• 1–2 years of relevant commercial driving experience.
• Ability to work long hours driving and handling materials.
• Physical capability to lift up to 100 lbs and work in diverse weather conditions.
• Legal age 18+ (21+ for interstate/hazmat routes).
• Successful completion of background checks, drug screening, and E‑Verify.
• Verification via the FMCSA Clearinghouse.
• Current DOT Medical Certificate.

• Hazmat endorsement.
• Strong vehicle maintenance skills.
• Experience with multi‑drop deliveries.
• Familiarity with fleet management systems.
• Multilingual abilities to enhance customer communication.
• Commitment to continuous improvement.

• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL A or
  
  B) with Air Brakes Endorsement.
• Forklift Certification (preferred).
• FMCSA Registration.

• Manage long hours and fast‑paced schedules within a 200‑mile radius—no overnight stays.
• Operate in varying weather and noise levels while traveling to job sites.
• Coordinate on‑site deliveries and provide occasional yard support.

Hourly wage: $23.51–$29.90 per hour (may vary based on location, experience, and other factors). Eligible for overtime, performance‑based bonuses, commissions, and a company automobile and fuel program. Full‑time associates may receive benefits including 401(k) with company match, optional long‑term disability, and participation in the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
