Job DescriptionThe person in the Warehouse Assistant Lead position will be responsible for accurately processing and recording all incoming and outgoing district mail. They will oversee the districts fixed asset system including tagging equipment, entering assets, training staff, and auditing asset listings for all locations. This person will also be responsible for forklift training and certification for all departments throughout the district.
The Warehouse Assistant Lead is expected to work closely with the Warehouse Lead and Purchasing Manager and will assume the duties of the Warehouse Lead in their absence.

- Must be able to meet the Physical Demands of the position as indicated by taking and passing a physicalcapacity exam after job offer and before employment begins.
- Completion of Safe Schools Web Based Training within thirty (30) days of hire and yearly thereafter.
- Must pass a background check, which includes employee paid fingerprinting.
- Must be able to read and understand written instructions. May be required to perform basic math calculations.
- Must have a valid Washington driver’s license, a clean driving record as evidenced by a driver’s abstract,and personal transportation covered with a current insurance policy.
- OSHA certified fork-lift certification preferred. Must become certified within three months of employment.
- Previous experience in all aspects of warehousing.
- Forklift certification with at least 5 years of practical experience.
- Certified Forklift trainer or certification obtained within 6 months of hire date.
- Must uphold board policies and follow administrative procedures.
- Must take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities.
- Must attend in-service trainings or other meetings as required, as well as attend any training as directed by management.
- Evidence of ability to assess and correct issues involving safety.
- Evidence of ability to establish and maintain a tactful, cooperative and effective relationship with students, parents, staff, fellow employees and management.
- Evidence of ability to approach assigned work in a professional manner, working toward the common goal of teamwork, pride in service delivery and continuous improvement.
- Must demonstrate sufficient command of the English language to communicate verbally and in writing with students, parents, district staff members and other concerned people regarding all aspects of their job related activities.

- Evidence of excellent attendance, punctuality, dependability and self-discipline.
- Must be able to use basic computer programs to maintain records, enter timecard information and read and respond to email.
- Physically able to do required work, which could include heave and sustained pushing, pulling, lifting and frequently moving up to 75 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs., squatting, bending, stooping, carrying, possible climbing of ladders and other functions that are physically demanding.
