Situated in beautiful northwestern Ontario, 65 km northwest of Fort Frances, the Rainy River Mine is an open pit and underground gold and silver producing, residential mine site. The mine is located adjacent to the Ontario / Minnesota border, halfway between Winnipeg, Manitoba and Thunder Bay, Ontario. The area is home to more than 130 species of birds and large populations of moose, black bear and deer.

Position: Site Services Planner
Schedule: Shift 5/2/4/3 - 9 Hour Days

Site Services Superintendent
Under the general direction from the Site Services Superintendent, provide the necessary level of maintenance planning and scheduling support to the Site Services group, in pursuit of excellence in asset and process reliability, maintenance management, project management, and process optimization.
Please note that camp accommodations are not provided for this role.
Key Responsibilities- To perform scoping, planning, and scheduling functions for execution of the maintenance and repair of infrastructure and assets managed by the Site Services department.
- Develops, implements, and monitors maintenance schedules for weekly and daily activities executed by Site Services personnel, as well as maintain a projected schedule of 2‑4 weeks out.
- Responsible for initial screening of incoming work notifications and prioritizing work with collaboration of Site Services supervision and management.
- As required, coordinate with third‑party engineering service providers, contractors, and other specialty service providers to complete the scoping and planning of work prior to execution.
- Ensures all aspects of health, safety, and environmental policies are considered in all job scopes and plans.
- Administer and maintain the preventive maintenance (PM) program for all assets under the responsibility of the Site Services department.
- Create purchase requisitions as required for parts, materials, and services to support the activities of the Site Services group.
- Facilitate meetings pertaining to but not limited to scoping, planning, work forecasting, and work completion (daily/weekly).
- Produce key performance indicator (KPI) reports to aid in the optimization of the overall asset management strategy of the Site Services group.
