Are you an experienced automotive or light-duty mechanic looking to bring your skills to the mining industry?

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of light-duty vehicles and support equipment used throughout mining operations.

If you have strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, solid hands-on experience and are comfortable working in a remote rotational environment, this opportunity could be a great fit for you.

As a Light-Duty Mechanic, you will be responsible for:

• Performing preventive maintenance, inspections and repairs on light-duty vehicles (Toyota, Ford) and support equipment
  ;
• Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and other vehicle-related issues;
• Troubleshooting equipment failures and identifying effective repair solutions;
• Repairing, adjusting or replacing defective components;
• Completing scheduled maintenance according to manufacturer recommendations and site standards;
• Performing pre-operational inspections and ensuring vehicles are safe and ready for service;
• Reading and interpreting technical documentation, service manuals and diagnostic information;
• Completing work orders and maintaining accurate maintenance records;
• Working collaboratively with the mobile maintenance team and other departments;
• Maintaining a clean, organized and safe work environment;
• Following all site-specific health and safety procedures and standards;
• Performing other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

• Professional diploma, apprenticeship or equivalent training in Automotive Service Technician, Heavy Duty Equipment Technician, Truck and Coach Technician
  , or a related mechanical trade;
• Significant hands‑on experience performing maintenance and repairs on light-duty vehicles or mobile equipment, espicially Toyota and Ford Diesel
  ;
• Approximately 5 years of relevant mechanical experience is preferred;
• Previous experience in mining, heavy industrial or remote work environments is considered a strong asset.

• Red Seal Automotive Service Technician certification is considered a strong asset, but is not mandatory;
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical vehicle systems;
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills;
• Ability to use diagnostic equipment and interpret technical documentation;
• Valid driver’s licence may be required;
• Additional trade certifications or experience with heavy equipment are considered assets.

• You are a hands‑on mechanic with strong troubleshooting abilities;
• You are autonomous, organized and solution-oriented;
• You take pride in completing repairs properly and efficiently;
• You demonstrate a strong commitment to safe work practices;
• You work well independently and as part of a maintenance team;
• You are comfortable working 12-hour shifts and alternating between day and night rotations;
• You are adaptable and comfortable working in a remote Fly-In / Fly-Out mining environment

• You are prepared to work in northern and Arctic conditions.

• Permanent, full-time position;
• Hourly salary between $43.95 to $53.89
  ;
• Overtime at 1.5x for hours beyond 40 per week, weekends, and statutory holidays;
• 14/14 rotation schedule
  , 12-hour shifts (day and night);
• Fly-In/Fly-Out (FIFO) transportation provided from Mirabel or Val-d’Or airports;
• Camp accommodations and meals provided;
• Air travel allowance paid upon site entry and exit;
• Tools and work equipment provided on the mine site;
