We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Entry Level Accountant to join our fast-paced Accounting and Finance team. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse team of professionals and gain hands-on experience in the world of financial management. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the general ledger, preparing journal entries, and utilizing Paychex and ADP systems.
ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible for the maintenance and reconciliation of the general ledger. This includes ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the financial and accounting operations of the company.
You will be responsible for preparing timely and accurate journal entries in accordance with established accounting standards and procedures. This includes recording financial transactions, posting debits and credits, and maintaining the balance of financial accounts.
You will be responsible for utilizing Paychex and ADP systems for payroll processing, tax filing, and benefits administration. This includes ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll transactions and compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.
You may also be required to assist with other accounting tasks as needed. This includes preparing financial reports, conducting financial analysis, and assisting with budget preparation and financial planning.
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
You must have at least 2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role. Experience with General Ledger, Journal Entries, Paychex, and ADP is required.
You must have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team. You must also have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is required. Experience with accounting software, such as Quick Books or Sage, is a plus.
CPA or CMA certification is a plus, but not required.
