Summary
Mortenson is currently seeking an experienced MEP Superintendent II to review, analyze, manage, and resolve field coordination issues with project team members and participants. Excellent communication skills are required, as the role involves interaction with staff at all levels in a changing environment. Success in this position depends on flexibility, inventiveness, dedication, efficiency, integrity, and confidentiality.
Responsibilities- Provide coordination, planning, and supervision for MEP scopes of work
- Develop and enhance customer relationships through excellent service
- Plan and implement materials, equipment, and inspections to support the project schedule
- Review construction documents for completeness and constructability
- Review and understand contract documents
- Coordinate plans and specifications with design engineers, resolving discrepancies
- Participate in the development and management of project schedules, including three‑ and six‑week look‑ahead schedules
- Develop a site logistics plan
- Manage the utilization of Mortenson tools and equipment
- Collaborate with project partner superintendents
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or 10 years of trade experience
- Minimum 10 years of construction experience, with at least two years supervisory experience, preferably with a Mechanical or Electrical Contractor
- Minimum 15 years of construction experience total, with the ability to fulfill responsibilities for multiple, complex data center projects
- Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks
- Basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- Positive, professional attitude and strong customer service skills
- Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies
- Active listening skills and effective communication, including openness to diverse input and feedback

- Current driver’s license
- Ability to travel up to 100%

The base pay range for this role is $130,100 MIN – $195,200 MAX. (Actual range is higher in selected office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%; Seattle, WA, Portland, OR – 10%; Washington, D.C. – 12.5%). Base pay is positioned within the range based on factors such as knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson's incentive plan.
