Overview of Position
The Shared Services Operations Specialist is responsible for processing and researching loan items to include processing checks and performing monetary transactions. Also responsible for corresponding with customers, clients and agents via phone and email. This role requires you to go into the Florence, SC office at 1323 Celebration Blvd, Florence, SC 29501.
Primary Duties- Perform job requirements including processing checks, payments, maintenance, basic analysis or research.
- Perform monetary functional transactions such as posting deposits to client servicing system, processing premium payments, updating insurance data, balancing and sending wire disbursements, or transmitting stop pay requests directly to financial institution bank accounts.
- Perform analysis on and resolve issues related to disbursements through review of system transactions, checks, reports, phone or written inquiries.
- Use computerized system for tracking, information gathering and/or troubleshooting the items raised by the client, insurance company or customer.
- Work in multi-functional areas with multiple clients.
- Provide high level of accuracy in disbursement review and processing.
- Provide high level of accuracy in check handling.
- Maintain a secure check handling environment.
- High School diploma or GED.
- 1-year basic data entry experience.
- 2 years of experience in data entry/document processing.
- Experience or knowledge of banking, financial, or mortgage industry preferred.
- 1 year of customer service experience.
- Proficient with MS Excel.
- Cash handling experience preferred (Check Recon/SM ).
- 2-year college degree preferred.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Solid work quality, accuracy and proficiency.
- Sound analytical skills.
- Solid internal and external communication skills.
- General system application and processing knowledge.
- Solid customer service skills.
- Ability to adapt well to change.

Pay Range$16.23 - $25.16 per hour. The pay range reflects a range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, and allows for salary growth within the position.
