Position OverviewThe joint Department of Biomedical Engineering at Marquette University and the Medical College of Wisconsin invites applications for a full‑time tenure‑track position. The department combines renowned engineering education and research with innovative medical research and clinical practice, providing a foundation for aspiring biomedical engineers, scientists, and physicians.
We seek candidates in computational biomechanics, prosthetics/orthotics, robotics, or related areas. Experience in orthopaedics, rehabilitation, or trauma is welcome, though not required. Candidates with strong research programs in other relevant fields will also be considered. The successful candidate will develop an internationally recognized research program and participate in teaching and service missions of the Department, providing inspirational leadership and engaging with the joint nature of the Department.

Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include demonstrated excellence in teaching, research and service. This entails: teaching undergraduate and graduate courses; advising and directing undergraduate and graduate students; providing service to the Department, College, University, and academic community.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesThe ideal candidate will have earned a PhD in Biomedical Engineering or a related field.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKnowledge of biomedical engineering in computational biomechanics, robotics, prosthetics/orthotics, or finite element methods. Experience in orthopaedics, rehabilitation or trauma is welcome.
