2nd Grade Teacher

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Create a classroom environment and culture aligned with KTEC's mission, vision, and values.
• Manage classrooms to support students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral growth.
• Provide rigorous, engaging lessons that meet grade-level standards and differentiate for diverse learners.
• Design, deliver, and assess nature-based, inquiry-based, and project-based learning integrating content standards.
• Participate actively in professional learning communities and regular staff meetings.
• Use feedback for personal growth, continuous improvement, and innovation.
• Communicate effectively with parents through various methods.
• Organize and participate in special student activities.
• Attend conferences, workshops, in-services, and required professional development including Summer Institute.
• Guide placement procedures and participate in placement meetings for newly referred students.
• Assist in selecting curriculum, equipment, classroom supplies, and other materials.

• Bachelor's degree in education.
• Current and appropriate Teaching License issued by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.
• Competencies in classroom management, learning strategies, individual and group management, curriculum development, and program evaluation.
