Description

We are currently seeking a Project Controls Engineer to join our team.
Duties &Key Responsibilities
- Perform machine function testing to ensure control panel components, field devices, and wiring perform per design and meet UL508A, UL698A, and NEC requirements
- Develop, modify, and optimize PLC, HMI, and VFD programs to support industrial and process equipment operation
- Integrate control system hardware and software (PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, safety devices, relays, etc.) into new builds and retrofit machinery builds. Electrical wiring, terminations, and labeling.
- Troubleshoot electrical circuits, control systems, and drives during machine checkout, startup, and field service: 480/120/24V
- Provide remote technical support for electrical and control system troubleshooting, via phone, email, and remote connections
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including electrical drawings, controller tag lists, process narratives, and controls operational documents
- Perform drawing updates in Solidworks and AutoCAD
- Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field required;
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Controls Engineering preferred - 2–3 years of related hands‑on day-to-day experience in electrical controls, automation, or industrial equipment required; 3-5 years preferred
- Working knowledge of electrical control systems (480/120/24V), PLCs, HMIs, and industrial/process automation
- Skilled in interpreting electrical schematics, controls logic, P&, and technical specification documentation
- Working knowledge of UL and NEC standards, and familiarity with industrial network protocols (Ether Net/IP, Modbus, Profibus) is preferred.
- Strong problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork abilities
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record, pre‑employment background check & drug screening required
- Travel required as needed
