Responsible for leading regulatory certification activities for vehicle systems, and components across global markets. Provides regulatory expertise throughout the product development lifecycle by defining compliance requirements, identifying certification testing needs, and supporting successful product launches.

Collaborates with engineering, manufacturing, testing teams, government agencies, and industry stakeholders to ensure products meet applicable regulatory standards and enable timely shipment, sale, and registration. Monitors evolving regulations, develops compliance strategies, and serves as a technical resource for emissions and environmental certification requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute global regulatory certification plans for vehicle systems and components.
  • Interpret and communicate new and changing regulations impacting product development and compliance.
  • Support product development teams by defining regulatory requirements and certification test plans.
  • Manage certification activities, documentation, and compliance deliverables to meet program timelines.
  • Provide technical expertise in environmental emissions systems, including noise, emissions, OBD, and EVAP requirements.
  • Lead regulatory projects and support continuous improvement of certification processes.
  • Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, industry organizations, and international partners.
  • Maintain compliance documentation, databases, and regulatory records.
  • Communicate complex technical and regulatory information effectively across global teams.
  • Travel to test facilities, regulatory meetings, conferences, and company locations as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in engineering, regulatory affairs, certification, or compliance.
  • Experience managing technical projects and improving engineering processes.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory certification procedures and documentation practices.
  • Experience with environmental emissions compliance and vehicle systems preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, project management software, and technical databases.
  • Experience working with global teams and international regulatory requirements preferred.
