Front Engineered Solutions is looking for an Electrical Controls Engineer who thrives in a hands-on environment where engineering ideas become real-world solutions. If you enjoy developing automation systems, solving complex technical challenges, and working on products from concept through production, this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for. We are looking for a local candidate as this will be on onsite position at our Kenosha, WI facility
This isn't a role where you'll be confined to a desk or limited to one aspect of engineering.
You'll have the unique opportunity to:- Influence the development of new products from concept to launch
- Design and implement electrical control systems that drive innovation
- Work directly with PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and industrial automation technologies
- Partner with Engineering, Operations, Production, Sales, and Technical Support teams
- Solve real-world challenges that improve product performance, quality, and customer satisfaction
- Own projects from design through implementation
- Design and develop electrical control systems and custom automation solutions
- Create schematics, panel layouts, BOMs, and wiring documentation
- Program and support PLCs, HMIs, and industrial control systems
- Lead and support new product development initiatives
- Troubleshoot equipment and controls issues both remotely and onsite
- Improve manufacturing processes, testing systems, and operational efficiency
- Collaborate across departments to bring innovative products to market
- Drive continuous improvements in quality, cost, and performance
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
- 5+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, SCADA, and industrial automation systems
- Electrical panel and controls design experience
- AutoCAD Electrical and schematic development experience
- Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on engineering mindset
- Ability to manage multiple projects while delivering results
