Financial Manager, Corporate Finance, Financial Consultant, Financial Reporting
Overview
A growing, private equity-backed industrial services and distribution company is looking for a senior finance leader to help build out its planning, reporting, and analytics function during a major growth and transformation phase. This is a high-impact role for someone who likes building things from the ground up. The company is going through meaningful change, and this person will partner closely with the CFO and executive team to create better forecasting, reporting, systems, and financial visibility across the business.
This is not a maintenance role. The right person will come in, assess what exists today, improve processes, help determine the right team structure, and build scalable tools for the next stage of growth.
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning
- Build better reporting packages for leadership and investors
- Create cash flow forecasting and working capital reporting
- Develop dashboards and KPIs that help leaders make faster decisions
- Partner with operations, sales, supply chain, and accounting teams
- Evaluate and help implement a modern planning or reporting system
- Move the company away from heavily manual Excel-based reporting
- Build cost, margin, and profitability analysis across products, customers, and locations
- Support future acquisition integration and synergy tracking
- Help build the FP&A function, including future hiring and team structure
- Newly Created role
- 6-7+ years of progressive finance, FP&A, corporate finance, or advisory experience
- Experience in manufacturing, distribution, industrial services, or a similar operational business preferred
- Hands-on experience with an EPM, planning, or reporting tool
- EPM experience strongly desired
- Ability to build models, reporting packages, dashboards, and executive-level analysis
- Strong Excel and financial modeling skills
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Net Suite, Oracle, Dynamics, Infor, or similar
- Comfortable working in a private equity-backed or fast-changing environment
- Able to partner with senior leadership while still getting into the details
- This could be a great fit for someone who has worked in a lean finance environment, built reporting from scratch, supported system implementation, or partnered closely with operations in a manufacturing or distribution setting.
- The company is especially interested in someone who can bring structure, accuracy, and better visibility to a finance function that is still being built.
- Why this role stands out:
- High visibility to the CFO and ownership group
- Opportunity to build the finance function instead of inheriting a finished process
- Meaningful transformation work over the next 6-12 months
- Chance to influence systems, reporting, team structure, and analytics
- Strong compensation for the market
Hybrid schedule with 3 days onsite per week
Compensation:Targeting $170K-$200K base + bonus, depending on experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, and additional company-sponsored benefits.
