Job Description Summary
Strategic Finance partner for the STO AI/Machine Learning (AIML) and Digital Health Services (DHS) teams. This role will report to the Digital & AI Finance Leader.
Roles and Responsibilities- Strategic financial partner for two L2 senior executive leaders’ staffs.
- Full cost ownership for AIML and DHS accountabilities ($110M annual spend) including core finance activities: period close, reporting, internal controls, forecasting, planning, variance analysis, management reporting, etc.
- Responsible for accurate books and records including financial, management, and program/project accounting.
- Responsible for accurate long‑term plans, budgets, forecasts, and actuals.
- Drive controllership throughout operating team, ensure SOX compliance of assigned cycles, and support external financial audits for the business where required.
- Provide financial analysis, insight, and expertise in support of business decision‑making needs, including evaluation of risks and opportunities.
- Develop and manage Return on Investment & Intrinsic Cost Productivity processes to drive better capital allocation decisions within accountabilities and across STO/GEHC.
- Partner and guide business partners to prioritize investments and align with strategy.
- Leverage technology to streamline and automate processes.
- Develop and administer Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field and 7 years of financial work experience.
- Proven communication skills: experience working across multiple levels (including executive level), functions and regions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate complex business issues in a clear and concise manner; demonstrated experience in developing and delivering presentations and memoranda to senior executives.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and clearly communicate (written, verbal) in a global team environment.
- Strong critical‑thinking skills and ability to add financial expertise and strategic value to operating teams.
- Experience with financial systems/applications, strong Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation.
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration and 4 years of related experience.
- Graduate of GE’s Financial Management Program (FMP) or Corporate Audit Staff (CAS); or graduate of other financial leadership programs.
- Experience working in GEHC Finance (either in a Region, Segment, or Group FP&A team).
- Training and/or certification in process improvement methodology such as LEAN or Six Sigma.
- Strong analytical skills: able to link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change.
- Clear thinking/problem solving: successfully led projects/process improvements within operations/finance functions involving process improvements.
- Adaptable/flexible: open to change in response to new information, unexpected circumstances, and work in global, ambiguous situations.
- Integrity: adherence to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions and communications.
- Confidence/Assertiveness: strong influencing skills across business functions.
- Advanced PC skills: experience with building queries in financial systems/applications (e.g., Oracle, Hyperion, Business Objects) and strong Excel skills (pivot tables, vLookup, macros, Power Query).
- Experience working in a matrixed environment.
For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $ – $ annually. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience, and location. This position may also be eligible to earn performance‑based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long‑term incentives (LTI).
